Kimetsu No Yaiba fans, Demon slayers season 2 is now set for an October 2021 release date in Japan! After all of the excitement continuously rising from the tear-jerking Mugen Train movie, here is what you can expect from the season 2 premiere, and what you need to know about Demon slayer’s continued success.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you have seen or at least heard about Demon slayer also known as Kimetsu No Yaiba. The Manga series alone has received numerous awards such as Japan’s Academy Prize for Animation of the year, Academy prize for popularity, and prize for Outstanding Achievement. Not only has this anime series been talked about around the world, but the Mugen Train film has managed to surpass the famous spirited away film produced by Studio Ghibli.
When spirited away was released it brought in $383.4 million dollars(USD) No anime had passed this earning ever since. Demon slayer has made a historical $474.6 million dollars GLOBALLY for Its first-ever movie: Mugen Train. This has left anime fans all over craving for more.
Ps: If you have not seen the first season, I absolutely would give it a look. Or if your like me , you can watch it 2 or maybe 3 times before watching the movie over and over again to prepare for season 2 to launch. PPS: The Movie is going to play a huge part in Season 2, so I advise not skipping over this piece of the story… Maybe carry some tissues while your at it.
So where can you watch the first episode? Yahoo Japan has disclosed that the show will be making its first appearance on Fuji Tv in October 2021 and will be picking up from season one and using Mugen train in its storyline to continue the series. Platforms such as Netflix, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu have released season 1 of Demon Slayer (Kimetsu No Yaiba) to its viewers, possibly hinting that Season 2 may be added to their list of shows. I am sure many of us are hoping for the release to happen at the same time as Japan, but as with other shows, North America may be slightly behind by a few months. If I were to guess, I would say Netflix may be the first streaming service to snag the rights to air all episodes of Demon slayer season 2.
