Sayaka Kanada, a well known singer and actress passed away this past Saturday at the young age of 35.
Many may know Sayaka from her roles in Sword Art Online the movie: Ordinal scale as Yuna, Sword Art Online Alicization War of underworld part 2 , Star Blazers 2202 as Teresa, Shioji in Air Bound, and many more. Sayaka was also the vocalist of vocalist of My Love Story!!, Sword Art Online, TRUSTRICK duo in Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School: Future Arc, Unlimited Fafnir, Star Blazers 2202 and Shōnen Maid.

Sayaka was supposedly found surrounded by a pool of blood 6 floors below her room on the 22nd floor. She was pronounced dead at the hospital she was later transported to.
CEO of Robe Co Kamaichi Mitsuhisa wrote a notice on her website advising:
“I would like to report to everyone who has supported Sayaka Kanda so far. Kanda Sayaka (35 years old) died suddenly at 9:40 pm on December 18, 2021. We are very sorry to give such a report to all the fans who supported us and all the people who took care of us. We are still unable to accept her passing and are trying to cope with it. We are currently investigating the detailed situation, but we kindly ask the media to refrain from interviewing relatives or posting articles by speculation,”
Sayaka was due to play her role in My fair lady earlier in the day on Saturday, however cancelled due to her health. Hokkaido Police advised that they are not ruling out foul play or suicide.
Regardless of the matter of death, we should all keep Sayaka Kanada and all of her beloved in our thoughts and prayers.
