#1 Haikyu!!



Team-work makes the dream work! If you enjoy sports anime this one is for you, and If you don't? You are surely in for a ride. Haikyu was illustrated and written by Haruichi Furudate, and released via Manga on April 06, 2014.


Summary: The story surrounds a young boy named Shōyō Hinata who dreams of being a great volleyball player despite his small size. This slice of life sports anime follows Hinata as he creates a small middle school volleyball team during his last year of middle school in hopes of one day being just like his idol, who is also a small pro volleyball player.


This anime is full of twists and turns, as Hinata gains a rival named Tobio Kageyama in his first and sadly last middle school game. Hinata joins the volleyball team at Kurasuno high school vowing revenge on Kageyama, but is in for a surprise when he sees that Kageyama is also on the same team. The former rivals make a fantastic combo pair, and work together to overcome many obstacles that arise later on in the show.

#2 Food Wars!


Food Wars, Written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki (Also known as Shokugeki No Sōma) is a great anime not only to get you in a great mood, but especially great for those of us who love food! The Series was first introduced via Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump from November 2012 to June 2019, and is a Japanese cooking, comedy, slice of life, and ecchi all in one!


Summary: Sōma Yukihira is the son of Jōichirō Yukihira a small restaurant owner who runs Yukihira restaurant. Jōichirō teaches Sōma the Yukihira style of cooking from a very young age, and creates a friendly competition with his son as Sōma wishes to someday surpass his father. Unfortunately for Sōma we learn that he has already lost to him 489 times. How is that even possible!? Upon Entering his high school years , Jōichirō decides it would be a great idea to close the restaurant for 3 years to pursue working abroad. He leaves Soma with the task of being accepted into Tōtsuki Culinary Academy to further hone his skills, but Soma soon realizes this is not your average academy, and only 1% make it to graduation day.


This Series follows somas journey from start to finish as he overcomes hardships, competitions, makes new friends, and leaves everyone begging for more of his fantastic cooking.


PS: Don't be alarmed if you see characters stripping naked from time to time. Relax,This is normal so enjoy the show.

#3 Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon (Danmachi)


DanMachi other wise knows as Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon (What a mouth full) was written by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda as a light novel series published by GA Bunko in January 2013 and animated by J.C. Staff


Summary: Bell Cranell the MC of the story is a rookie adventurer and the sole member of a guild founded by the goddess Hestia. The guild is poor as dirt, and Bell begins taking part in adventures through the ginormous dungeon in hopes of hitting a jackpot.... The jackpot being more towards girls then actual riches. Adventurers travel from all over to take their chances in the dungeon located beneath the city of Orario, so it couldn't be that terrifying right? Bell soon learns first hand how dangerous the labyrinth is once death almost knocks on his front door. This is until a beautiful adventurer saves him. Bell falls deeply in love with her and swears to become stronger to win her heart once and for all.

#4 My Hero Academia



A Super hero anime? Sign me up! My Hero Academia was written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi, Serialized by shonen jump with the first Manga being released in 2014. MHA has accumulated a huge following since it's release making it one of the most popular shows to be released in the 2010's.


Summary: The story follows an initial Underdog Izuku Midoriya who is quirk-less, meaning he has no powers...at all. In a world full of villains doing all they can to disrupt the peace and Pro Heroes working hard to protect the world, it's not hard to understand why super powers would come in handy. Midoriya who dreams of following the footsteps of his All time favorite hero, and the number 1 hero in the world All Might is finally given the opportunity to meet him during some very strange circumstances, and his life changes forever. Midoriya soon meets friends and foes as he works towards being the best hero in the world.

#5 Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions!



Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions also known as Chū-2 was illustrated by Nozomi Ōsaka and written by Torako. This anime is a heartwarming magical Slice of Life that tons of people can relate too, and a fun show to watch in general.


Summary: This light novel/ anime captivates its watchers and readers by taking them on a journey of a young boy named Yuuta Togashi known as the Dark Flame Master... Ok he isn't formally known as that, but he posed by this name all throughout middle school and consequently regrets it. Yuuta is so embarrassed by his former actions that he chooses a high school far away from where he lives to start over and live a normal high school life. Everything seems to be going great until his classmate Rikka Takanashi declares herself as the vessell of the "wicked eye" , and basically drags Yuuta back into the chuunibyo life style.


PS: Chū-2 won an honorable mention at the 2010 Kyoto animation awards.

#6 Toilet-Bound Hanako Kun



Toilet bound Hanako Kun, Is one of my personal favorites on this list, from the show to the manga this Comedy/ supernatural anime is guaranteed to get you through a rough day.

Toilet bound Hanko Kun was written and illustrated by Aidalro, and first published in July of 2014.


Summary: At Kamome Academy the schools seven wonders continue to spark rumors through the school, although no one has seen them. The most famous of all the wonders is number 7, a female known to grant any wish you desire as long as you have the means to pay for it. Longing for a romantic love life, Nene Yashiro decides to take her chances and venture into the haunted bathroom to meet the spirit. Once she does she is shocked to find out that Hanako is actually a mischievous boy!
